Could you walk me through your career path, starting with your experiences in college? Did you have any internships or jobs before your current role?
Of course. During college, I had a couple of different roles. My longest role was as an intern at my campus's Multicultural Community Center, and I worked there for about three years.
I also worked for the ASUC, which is the Associated Students of the University of California. There, I did mostly admin support for the student groups on campus.
After college, I got a job at a local nonprofit called Nonprofit Housing Association of Northern California. They are based in San Francisco and do programming across the Bay Area. I was an administrative and membership associate there for about two years.
After that, I moved into a role at another nonprofit called Youth Leadership Institute. I was there for almost five years, starting as a program coordinator in their San Mateo County office. Then I moved to the Long Beach office where I was a program coordinator and then program manager.
That's where I was up until my current role. Currently, I'm the director of programs at Minds Matter, Southern California.
