Could you walk me through your career path, starting with your experiences in college and any internships or jobs you had before your current role?

I majored in business at Cal Poly, focusing on human resources and management. While there, I became very involved with Cal Poly's orientation programs. This experience provided me with a lot of my leadership and event planning skills, which have continued to shape my career.

During college, I pursued an HR internship. I chose HR management because of the significant psychology component involved, and I was fascinated by how and why people work best together. I then applied this passion and knowledge to the events world, drawing from the experience I gained through orientation programs at Cal Poly.

My first job after graduation was as a corporate event planner. There, I developed many of the skills I now use as an online business consultant. I am now an entrepreneur and retreat host, assisting small businesses with their processes, efficiency, and strategy.

I felt quite lost in my career, especially during my time at Cal Poly. I sought guidance from the career fair and my advisors, but they offered little direction. This experience inspired me to support others, and it also led to the name of my current consulting business, "The Anti Nine to Five Life."
