What are your main responsibilities within your current role?

Working in product, my job is to prioritize the most important things we can build, maintain, fix, or improve in our product. I think about our current customers and how to make their experience better.

I also consider new customers we want to attract. I think about how we can stay ahead of the market and create better things that people will pay more for.

All of this involves taking in inputs from customers and internal teams. I learn where the market is going and what our competitors are doing. This helps me prioritize what we're building and why.

It's important to communicate the "why" to the people you work with. This builds conviction so they understand their work matters. It also improves the quality and timeliness of our deliveries.

All these things contribute to being an effective product person. Ultimately, it's about making the best decisions to impact the product and build a more valuable company.
