What are your main responsibilities within your current role?

In my current role as the owner's rep and project manager, I help manage the general contractor from a big-picture perspective. Essentially, we're protecting the owner's interests, making sure the money is spent correctly. We're using taxpayer money in the right way and building the project according to the designs and specifications.

This ensures all systems are functioning and that the building is safe and accessible for the public. We also make sure that most of the financials and change orders are within reason and quality-controlled. Ultimately, we provide oversight and peace of mind to the owner.
