Biggest Challenges Faced By a Vice President At Catalyst Commercial Real Estate
As a Vice President at Catalyst Commercial Real Estate, Sean's biggest challenge is "being constantly organized" and essentially always available, unlike in previous roles where there was a clear work-life separation; the current stage of company building necessitates a 24/7 commitment, where one must "answer any call" and "respond to any email," even while traveling.

What is your biggest challenge in your role?
I'd say the biggest challenge is being constantly organized. In my previous roles, I was still working a lot, but I could shut off after the week.
For example, on weekends, that's not the case anymore. I have to constantly be on because there isn't a backup system in place.
That requires me to be on 24/7. If I need to go on vacation, I can set up systems so I don't need to be there. But at the point we're building, I want to be there at all times.
So even when I'm traveling now, I am constantly on my phone. My ringer's always on. I will answer any call, I'll respond to any email.
It's nice that I can do it from anywhere in the world, but there's no downtime. You can get a call at 8:00 PM and you've gotta answer it.
