As someone who identifies as a first-generation college student, how has that impacted how you've navigated your career?

I guess I didn't have a lot to go off of in terms of what to expect from the college application process. I had to rely on my family for help, but they hadn't gone through the experience much either.

It was a lot of learning on the fly, knowing that I could succeed even though no one else in my family had necessarily done it. I knew if you just put in the work and determination, you can do anything you want with your career.

I took a lot of pride in making sure I got good grades because I really wanted to be proud of being the first person in my family to graduate college. I think that mindset just carried over after college into my career.

I just tried to make the best career possible and work as hard as I can to make a meaningful life.
