Q11: Significant lesson – career

What is one lesson that you've learned that has proven significant in your career?

This is not necessarily specific to any industry, but the first thing is: listen. Listen to your customer. Listen to your partners. Listen to everybody else.

You learn a lot more by listening than you do by talking. Being open to ideas from others is important.

Really, starting with that "listen" mentality, listening and learning from others, is probably the best lesson I've learned early in my career.
