What does the day in the life of a data linguistic analyst look like?
When I applied for the job, I was a remote worker. The company is Meta, a huge global company with campuses worldwide. I think networking is a really big part of starting a new job.
People often wonder about making more money. Generally, it comes from your experience, regardless of your specific role. It's experience-based pay. There's significant value in going into the office to network, discuss work, share ideas, and meet interesting people.
I tried hard to adopt a hybrid work style. While remote work is convenient and allows me to work from home, I personally find it easier to balance work and life when I have a separate space for work. I usually take meetings in the morning from home to prepare for the workday.
Then I come into the office. Meta is a large tech company with plenty of resources for amenities like snacks, drinks, and desks. I’m currently in a personal meeting room. They offer desks with ergonomic features and other perks that I didn’t initially have access to.
It's worth considering the pros and cons when working for larger, medium-sized, or smaller companies. They all offer different benefits. A typical day for me involves working from the office and interacting with the language model.
