What does a day in the life of a private chef look like?
It depends on the day of the week. Sometimes, the day-to-day routine is different.
Sometimes I have a delivery that comes early morning, so I have to go in and make sure everything is put away. I do my prep for breakfast and ensure everything is clean, and that the sanitation bucket is full.
After putting everything away, I begin my prep for breakfast. Breakfast usually runs from 7:30 to 9:30 AM.
After breakfast, my last call is at 9:30 AM. So after breakfast, I basically restart all the stations and start prepping for lunch.
I prep for lunch and then start cooking around 11:00 to 11:30 AM. My lunch service starts around 12:00 to 12:30 PM and goes until 2:00 PM. After 2:00 PM, I am done with work.
