What skills are most important for an account executive?
I would say the two most important skills require a lot of upkeep. It's like working out, like muscle training.
I would say communication and organization. So, going back to that last question, what does a day in the life look like? The best people have the most organized days and calendars, and then they use the resources available to them.
By communicating effectively and keeping everyone on task, you're never going to, you might get lucky a few times just kind of going rogue and being solo. But in an account executive role, you're going to need a lot of other players on your team to sell as a team.
It's up to you to quarterback those situations and keep everyone on task, in the know, and organized leading up to a sale. So, I would say those are the two most important skills.
