What are your main responsibilities within your current role?

My current role here at the Northeastern Power Coordinating Council is Senior Engineer in Operations Coordination. I act as a facilitator and supporter for several working groups or committees within the northeastern part of the North American power grid.

We oversee coordination between five individual power grids that are all interconnected in northeastern North America. These include the power grids of New York, the five New England states, Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada, specifically New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island.

My main role is to help facilitate and coordinate real-time operations between these five independently operated power systems.
