What did you do in undergrad to set you up for success in your career?
It really goes back to networking. I mentioned being part of the student association, the Supply Chain Management Association at Arizona State.
Part of that involved having speakers come in from different companies. They would talk about opportunities they had or how they run their supply chain.
This helped me gain a good perspective on how different companies operate and make connections at those companies. Getting a business card and sending a follow-up email to stay in touch really went a long way.
Later in my career, I could follow back up with some of those people and stay connected, which led to some opportunities. Again, it all really comes back down to networking.
