How would you describe people who typically thrive in this industry?

People who thrive in education or the nonprofit sector are mission-driven. They are dedicated to their work because it is meaningful to them.

I find that the people who are here are here for a reason. They believe in the organization. Because of that, they acquire skills through education that help tailor their roles.

This includes a program management lens, which I think is critical in almost all aspects of a multifaceted position. These roles require extensive knowledge about the work you are doing. This knowledge comes through education, even in the form of training through your HR department.
