What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?
Higher education is really important to me. I believe education in general is the greatest equalizer we have. It's the key to social mobility and breaking into any career you desire.
Education is key to all of that. I feel privileged to work in a job where I truly support the mission and values of my organization.
Higher education has become increasingly expensive and is under attack regarding its value and funding. But at its core, education is extremely critical.
The UC system, California State schools, and California community colleges are all critical to America's position as a leader in innovation and leadership. I like working in this industry because I know I'm playing a part in a better future and actualizing change. That's why I really like this industry.
