What have you learned about this role that you wish someone had told you before you entered the industry?

That's a great question. It's actually not very specific to marketing, but it applies and is relevant for everyone.

You could be doing super good work, be hardworking, and stay late at the office until 11:00 PM. Unless you are "roadshowing" or sharing the work you're doing, it's not going to be seen.

So, I would say it's as important to showcase your work as it is to do the work itself. I really recommend to anyone starting off, whether in marketing or any industry, to hone in on that. Prioritize showcasing your work and getting stakeholders, sponsors, and mentors to advocate for you too.
