Could you walk me through your career path, starting with your experiences in college? Please include any internships or jobs you had before your current role.

Absolutely. I went to Yeshiva University, where I studied communications with a concentration in public relations and a minor in studio art. A lot of my focus areas, especially around internships, were specific to communications and broader marketing.

I also had a bit of an interest in music, which you'll see if you look at my resume and background. My early internships were at boutique PR agencies. I actually got one internship with a communications professor at school who had his own boutique agency.

Then I got another one early on through LinkedIn. So it was pretty much built on relationships with people I knew, or by me reaching out directly to the CEO or similar contacts at those smaller, boutique PR agencies. I did a lot of general PR, developing pitch decks and press release materials.

I worked across the board with various brands, including Shop Genius, 7-Eleven, and Kantar Media and Research. For another internship, my focus was more around jewelry and CPG products. This experience in early-stage boutique agencies gave me a lot of hands-on experience.
