Q11: Significant lesson - career
What is one lesson that you've learned that has proven significant in your career?
I would say that medicine and psychiatry, included, is a team sport. Especially early on, it's helpful to have supervision and peers, getting feedback and being able to discuss cases and situations in a group so that you're not just doing this all on your own.
You have the wisdom of many other people, including people who've been doing this for decades, to help you out. So for me, that's been a really powerful lesson. It's not just up to me to learn; I have other people I can lean on for support and ask questions so that I can become smarter from other people's lessons and experiences.
