What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?
I give two answers to this. One is I just enjoy working with people and helping people. I think it would be hard for me to imagine dedicating so much of my time and energy to something in the field that was actually beneficial to people and to society.
I think that we get to do that on a day-to-day basis as we earnestly try to help people. The other thing I like is that my peers and colleagues, I just have a ton of respect and admiration for them.
They are generally speaking, very hardworking, intelligent, compassionate people, who can be very supportive and inspiring. So it is nice to sort of be surrounded by people who, I really feel have helped me be a smarter, wiser, kinder human being.
So that balance of feeling like I'm helping people and also being surrounded by people that I really want to be surrounded by is what I like.
