Could you walk me through your career path? Let's start with your experiences in college, any internships, or jobs you had before your current role.
I majored in Television, Radio, and Film at Syracuse University, specifically for their LA semester and internship program. During my junior year, I spent my spring semester in Los Angeles, taking industry-specific classes and interning at a talent management company.
I fell in love with LA and ended up moving here a few years after college. That internship experience gave me a real feel for talent management. It's very client-heavy and creative, in the sense that I facilitate other creatives' careers.
During my internship, I was hands-on, answering phones, scheduling meetings, and being in the room with potential actors and clients. I also read opposite them and helped with self-tapes. This helped me figure out my taste in developing new talent.
After college, I worked at the agency ICM Partners on the comedy desk for the head of comedy. I worked with many SNL cast members and writers, which really launched my career as a comedy talent manager.
