What scales are most important for a job like yours?

In cybersecurity or information security, you're providing a service to the entire business. The most important skill set, I would say, isn't just engineering.

It's having curiosity about how an entire organization works. Only then can you provide security as a function for finance, accounting, HR, or software engineering. You need to be a jack-of-all-trades from a knowledge standpoint.

So, be thirsty when it comes to gathering knowledge and be super organized. If you are always taking notes and you remember what's happening and what needs to happen, you'll more easily succeed. I'm a huge note-taking, organizing kind of person, and I think that goes a long way, no matter your job type.
