What are your main responsibilities within your current role?
As a consultant, I'd say there are three levels of priorities we'd have to deal with. The first is coordinating with junior staff members and other resources within the firm. This is to help them deliver on whatever they're working on, whether that's specific analysis, research, building slides, or financial models.
The second priority is reporting to more senior people at the firm. We need to ensure they understand what we're working on and the progress we're making towards client deliverables or engagements. This also involves making sure everyone is kept happy throughout every project.
The third priority is ultimately being accountable for the clients we work with. This means ensuring they are looped in and understand what's going on with our projects regularly. It also involves pivoting when necessary to meet ever-changing client needs, or if they want us to look more into something later in a project.
