How would you describe people who typically thrive in this industry?

People who thrive in the training and people development industry are generally positive and optimistic rather than pessimistic. They have to be able to think about how to influence people and how to make things happen.

If you are always doing what you've always done, you can become old-school pretty quickly. Thinking outside the box and being creative is important. It’s also crucial to recognize that times move on.

People who are 25 years old now in the workspace have different cultures and expectations than people who were 25 in 1990. I've worked with people in the training industry for 30 or 40 years, and some of them are still at the top of their game because they remain positive, optimistic, and creative. These are the things that really stand out.
