What are your main responsibilities within your role?
The role I have today, as I mentioned, is running my own business called FP and a Guy. FP&A stands for Financial Planning and Analysis. I do quite a bit of training and host three podcasts.
One podcast is on financial modeling, another on financial planning, and the third on AI. A big responsibility is coming up with questions, interviewing guests, and creating content. This content helps people improve in finance, Excel, modeling, and storytelling.
In addition to that, I spend a fair amount of time selling and talking to different people. I have to find customers and individuals interested in my services. I also share material daily on LinkedIn.
My role today is much broader than a traditional job because I run my own business. For the most part, it's a business of one. I do have a part-time analyst who helps me, and I use some companies for backend tasks. However, I am the only full-time employee, which is very different from most of my career in more traditional roles.
