What skills are most important for a job like yours?

I think you have to be organized and detail-oriented so that things don't fall through the cracks. You don't necessarily have to be an organized and detail-oriented person, but you need to understand at what point you do need to be organized and what things you don't necessarily have to be.

Another thing is that you have to be okay with uncertainty and variability, especially if you're working for a technology startup that's beginning to scale. A lot of things can go wrong within that process, and there will be unforeseen issues that you come across.

You have to be able to problem-solve and adapt very quickly. Lastly, you have to have good people skills because, as a project manager, your role involves meeting and talking to a lot of people from very different backgrounds.

You not only have to be able to coordinate those discussions but also understand and speak the same language as all the other team members. For example, I've worked with construction, electrical, IT, and engineering. You have to be able to understand the words and terms they're using.
