How would you describe people who typically thrive in this industry?

I think the people that thrive are, and this is probably a term that's overused, but really servant leaders. These are people who want to have a long-lasting impact and perhaps don't prioritize financial well-being or money driving everything they do.

As you grow professionally, there are opportunities to do well financially, but ultimately, that's not the driving force. You have to be in it because you're passionate about it and you want to make a difference.

I think it's important to start as a teacher and then work your way up. That should continue to be the driving force of what you do.

If you're in it because you want to get rich, this probably isn't the industry for you. There are tons of opportunities, and you get rewarded in so many other ways, just in the impact that you have.
