Q9: What do you wish you'd known before entering the industry?
Asia, what have you learned about this role that you wish someone had told you before you started?
You have to be very intentional about how you communicate what you can and cannot do, and where you are. You have to be a continuous communicator and set the right expectations all the time.
I think when you deal with a variety of teams, different people, and different stakeholders, the ability to clearly communicate your constraints becomes very important. If you don't do that, you can find yourself in a position where you are overcommitted, and that can cause some problems. This is especially true if you're not good at setting boundaries and fiercely managing your time.
