What is one lesson that you have learned that has proven significant in your career?

Take every opportunity to learn as much as you can. Maybe there's a project where you have to work with people that you may not necessarily like to work with.

Instead of thinking, "Oh God, I just need to finish this," use it as a way to build your presence or your appearance at work, which does matter. Being able to stay polite and work with people that you don't necessarily like is a very good skill to have.

This skill helps you get things done and not close opportunities off from yourself. You never know who will be in what position or how they might impact your life. You don't want to p**s off the wrong people.

Just because a project may be something that you've already done before doesn't mean there isn't something else that you can learn. Maybe it's a different soft skill, or a different type of organization, planning, or communication.

Being sure that you look for those opportunities will be helpful in your development as a young professional.
