As someone who identifies as Christian, how has that impacted how you navigate your career?

As a faith-based person with a strong belief in God and a higher power, I think one of the biggest factors in navigating my career is actually why I've ended up where I am right now. It's mostly because I believe there's a reason and a purpose for why I am where I am.

I believe there's a reason and purpose for why I help the people that I help. This has allowed me to say yes to opportunities I didn't think fit what I wanted, because it's not always about what I want. As a Christian, I believe there is a divine ordinance for why I live my life.

Being able to embrace that and say yes to opportunities, even when I didn't know where they were leading, and trusting that God would guide me, has led me to where I am. I also think this is the reason why I find a lot of peace in what I do.

I got married at 22, right after college, and I have two kids while pursuing my career. I believe there's a purpose and reason for why I'm pursuing it, and why I wake up every day supporting these teams. This is true even when things get crazy, like negotiating a difficult deal.

I also believe this has guided my career and been a single source of why I've been successful and promoted over the years. My role requires a lot of people interaction, and being able to have daily interactions where I am purpose-driven, not just showing up and being unenthusiastic, is key.

Honestly, when I look at things on social media, I don't always relate to how people talk about their full-time jobs. I think it's because I'm faith-based. I truly wake up believing there's a purpose for why I show up to work, even when it's challenging.

So, I think it's all about attitude and having belief in what God has planned. For someone who identifies as Christian and is seeking advice from that perspective, it's about trusting and saying yes to opportunities. It's knowing that I'm doing good work and showing up in the way I'm supposed to each day.

Ultimately, knowing there's a purpose for why I'm here has been the reason why my career has progressed as it has.
