What are your main responsibilities within the current role?
As I mentioned previously, I'm a full desk senior recruiter. I oversee Business Development for myself and my team.
I have a book of business and reach out to clients, which specifically means companies. I'm an extension to their recruiting team, so they hire me to help them fill jobs they aren't able to fill on their own. I also partner with them to help them fill roles.
My role involves screening and interviewing candidates, and then submitting them to my clients. What's really cool about my company is that we're very collaborative. I can match candidates to any open position on anyone else's desk.
I can work across fashion, beauty, marketing, and even admin-related roles. We're very collaborative and no task is too small. We're constantly working together to fill as many positions as we can.
At the end of the day, our top priority is to help people find jobs, across any industry. Other responsibilities include negotiation. I help people negotiate their salaries and work with clients to figure out budgets for the role.
Once we place a candidate, we continue to check in with them to make sure everything is going well. If it's not, we guide them to either replace the candidate or, if the candidate isn't liking their position, we coach them and help them find something new. We also help with resumes, reviewing them before submitting them to a client.
