What type of person thrives in the coaching industry, according to a Leadership Coach at Find Clarity
Nicole, a Productivity & Leadership Coach, identifies key traits for success in the coaching industry: strong emotional intelligence, active listening skills ("people who can really just be present, tune in, hear the person"), and patience in creating space for clients' experiences. This emphasis on presence and genuine listening, a rare quality in today's fast-paced world, is fundamental to her coaching approach.

How would you describe people who typically survive in this industry?
Listeners, good listeners. I think people who have emotional intelligence are patient. They create the space for others.
I find that often when you're talking to someone, you can tell they're not truly listening. Perhaps it's because of technology or because we're all doing so many things at once.
On the other hand, when someone genuinely hears you, it can be powerful. I've even had people cry simply because I was hearing them. It's awful, but it's so rare.
I believe people who can be truly present, tune in, and hear the person are valuable. They don't worry about what they'll say next or having the greatest solution. Instead, they put those thoughts aside and are there with the person. They acknowledge what the other person is going through, listen, ask questions, and are present.
