What did you do in undergrad to set you up for success in your career?
Being a philosophy major helped. Philosophy is about examining life and how to live it fully. I think I tackle that with people every day.
A lot of what I learned about how to think about things was also helpful. In undergrad, I became a "yes person" to any opportunity, whether it was educational, like joining a club or doing a class project, or social, like going to a restaurant or seeing a show.
I was always saying "yes" within reason. I believe that created opportunities for me. Now, I'm less concerned about risk.
I think many people worry about the risk, "What if I take it and it doesn't work out?" I'm less concerned about that now because I built up that mindset early on.
