How would you describe people who typically thrive in this industry?
I would say that they are people who are really dedicated to their work. You have to be when you get a phone call late at night that something bad has happened, or you get notified that there is a hurricane headed for Florida and they're preparing to deploy teams.
You have to be willing to jump in with both feet. You have to be willing to sacrifice a lot. You give up a lot of personal time, your nights and your weekends when something big is happening because you have to be available to lead communications for those efforts.
And so I think dedication is definitely a big component of being successful in EMS and healthcare.
