What are your main responsibilities within your current role?
As CEO and founder, I oversee everything. This includes internal operational planning and preparation for our launch. I currently manage the team handling the technology that allows us to manage all of our members.
I also oversee my co-founder as she prepares the design and events for the space. This covers interior design, layout, and some operational aspects. As we get closer to finalizing our lease, we are expanding our team to include sales and operations.
I put together the pitch deck with assistance from a classmate. I handle all financial projections, compliance, and legal matters. I am in contact with legal counsel almost daily.
I work with the broker on securing the site location and exploring lease prospects. My day-to-day largely involves overseeing the overall strategy and direction of the business. This ensures we achieve our vision and serve our members with high-level hospitality, not just as an office space.
I make sure my team puts everything together to align with our culture and vision. A current challenge is building an in-person culture while working remotely. We need to ensure people can work well together in person and remain productive remotely.
The biggest part of my day-to-day is managing the team and being a good leader. I focus on providing them with the resources and support they need to succeed. If I don't inspire my team or give them what they need, I can't succeed.
This includes typical CEO tasks like financial management and fundraising. I'm also focused on securing the physical site, not the website. Building the website is also part of my role. This will expand once we launch and acquire more locations, but it's my current day-to-day.
