What does a day in the life of an ACEO look like?

For me, I'm trying to get into a routine that I've read about, used by high-level CEOs. I wake up at seven and start my day with a little bit of screen time, which I'm trying to eliminate. I've also revamped my cold plunge, so that's a daily thing.

The gym isn't every day, but I aim for five or six days a week. Afterward, I head to my home office to jump on Microsoft Teams and check emails for messages from my team members that need addressing. I go through my emails, and that's when I'll start the workday by reaching out to different people.

My first meeting is with my COO and co-founder. She's handling the planning, layout, and getting the place physically ready. This is the most important aspect, ensuring we have a great place. That's why I connect with her daily to see how that's progressing, as it's a time-consuming process for her.

Then, I'll start working on my own tasks, looking at different opportunities and continuing my research. Even though I've decided on this location and what's going to be set, I continue researching. I use LinkedIn, read articles, and look for other sources to make sure I'm staying on the right path, all while managing my emails. I try to answer emails as they come in.

I also text a lot and don't prefer phone calls, though I'll take them if necessary. This includes calls with my lawyers, my legal team, and my real estate agent regarding future locations, not just for growth here but in different regions. I'll snack at some point during the day and don't usually pause for a full lunch.

The remainder of my day is spent communicating with my team through emails and texting. Most of my time over the last year and a half was spent on the harder preparation work and administrative tasks, like financial projections, insurance, and business licenses. We've completed most of that, so now I'm focusing on where to go for investors, whether it's VCs or angels. Researching those opportunities and where to go is part of my day.

That's pretty much how my day looks. I work until I feel like I don't want to anymore, which can be six or ten hours. That's my day.
