What are your main responsibilities within your current role?

My main responsibilities as a strategic marketing manager involve understanding cutting-edge technology that Johnson & Johnson and its competitors are releasing to the market. This is to treat unmet needs for both physicians and patients.

In healthcare, this role is sometimes called Upstream Marketing, but at Johnson & Johnson, it's called Strategic Marketing. My role is to understand that technology and collect feedback from users, hospital administrators, and patients.

This feedback helps me understand how our current products are serving them and how future products could be improved. I also need to understand the market and the competition.

The goal is to determine what will strategically set us apart from the rest of the market at Johnson & Johnson. I also identify what the next best innovation will be for patients moving forward.
