What do you enjoy most about being in your current role?
There are a few things that stand out. The most significant is probably the flexibility.
I'm an individual contributor, meaning no one reports to me. I am solely responsible for my contributions to the company and how I achieve my goals.
If I'm performing well and meeting my goals and key performance indicators, I have incredible flexibility. I can set my own schedule and achieve a great work-life balance, ensuring I make time for important personal activities.
However, this flexibility is contingent on my success. If I'm not successful, there isn't much flexibility. But, when I'm continually selling and adding value, that flexibility is present.
I also enjoy working with different people every day across various departments within the company and with customers. I get to collaborate with some of the biggest companies in the world, which is exciting.
Even though I'm selling the same product, every situation is different. From a sales perspective, closing a significant deal you've worked on for a long time is incredibly rewarding. You understand the impact it has on the company and those around you, and it can energize everyone to continue working towards similar successes.
I truly value the team element within my role, even as an individual contributor. For me, flexibility is paramount. As long as I'm successful, that's something I wouldn't trade for anything.
