What does the day in the life of a senior program manager look like?

I'll be honest, it's a lot of meetings. A lot of times, as I mentioned, you're managing a team.

So, you're often working on projects, and the project approval often goes up to you as the manager. That's the day-to-day.

But as I mentioned, it starts with a lot of meetings. Sometimes they're update meetings, sometimes they're project meetings. I intentionally schedule time to work on documenting a process or reviewing documents.

By "paper," I mean a Google Doc or a Notion Doc. I also review spreadsheet analyses. If we're developing some kind of new tool, I make sure I have time to review that.

A lot of it is also relationship building, which you do through content communication. Proactive communication is always better than reactive.

Frankly, if you look at the actual work that's done, a lot of it is meeting-based, to be frank.
