Favorite Parts of Being a Sales Enablement Specialist at Viant Technology

Natalie enjoys sales enablement because the role isn't limiting and can be applied across many industries, allowing for flexibility and the freedom to follow curiosities, rather than being siloed into one expertise. The most rewarding aspect is learning skills applicable to both the professional and personal worlds, as it's "getting paid to learn things that I would want to learn anyway," which makes sales enablement "a blend of psychology and communication and strategy."

What do you enjoy the most about being in your industry?

At Broad, what I enjoy most is sales. Sales is the engine of every business, no matter the industry. My department, sales enablement, is what makes that engine run smoother.

I love this role because I don't feel limited. I feel this role could be applied across many different, arguably every, industry because I would assume every business has a sales team and a sales department to thrive.

This role allows me leverage to change my mind and follow my curiosities. If they change, instead of being siloed into one expertise and one industry, it might make me feel limited.

Beyond that broad lens, I enjoy how dynamic this role is. Some days we focus on strategy, and some days we focus on education. We always have to be very nimble and adaptable.

I think that keeps me entertained and never bored because it's never quite the same. Lastly, what I really love is that sales enablement is a blend of psychology, communication, and strategy.

The skills I learn as a sales enablement specialist, and those I help sales reps learn, can be applied in the professional world and also in your personal life. I feel like I'm getting paid to learn things I would want to learn anyway, which is super rewarding. It feels like I'm getting the best of both worlds.
