What do you enjoy the most about being in your role?
The number one thing I enjoy about being in this role is the ability to help people become their absolute best. This role is quite beautiful because, on paper, you are helping someone do their job better and develop career skills. But going a little deeper, you are developing soft skills.
At the end of the day, if we are all better at communicating, thinking, strategizing, planning our day, and being more productive, I think that kind of melts into your everyday personal life, beyond just your career. So, number one is helping people, much like those who help a sports team and an athlete perform at their best. I feel like I'm getting to do the same thing.
Number two, what I love about this role is the requirement to simplify complexity. I love turning messy processes and inefficiencies into clear, actionable systems that work, that function smoothly and as simply as possible.
The third thing I enjoy most about this role is the ability to see the impact of the work that we do as a department in real time. Everything we do ultimately has a real-time impact. This makes the role very dynamic and meaningful because you are very clear on whether or not you did a good job. It allows you to refine and sharpen your skills and make sure you are delivering content, information, and skills that actually help people here and now. You can adjust really quickly whether things work or don't work.
