What have you learned about this role that you wish someone would have told you before you entered the industry?
Negotiate, negotiate, negotiate. I say that because I thought I was paid very well, and I appreciate that. But as I'm in this role, I'm realizing how much of my time is truly needed to be successful.
I would encourage anyone to negotiate. You're going to be spending a lot of time as a high school principal with your students and your families.
It is absolutely worth it, and you deserve to be properly compensated. So, I think just being able to negotiate your salary is something you'll want to do.
