Favorite Parts Of Being A Principal At The SEED School Of Los Angeles County
Natale, a high school principal, finds the most rewarding aspect of the role to be "the opportunity to build relationships" and witness student growth academically, socially, and emotionally, instilling "love" in the process; this approach, unusual for a high school principal, centers on compassion and supporting both teachers and students on their individual journeys.

What do you enjoy most about being in your current role?
I love children. I always say children are not disposable, which means their future matters and their present matters. I believe I get to play a role in influencing their day-to-day experiences.
As the principal, I develop and support teachers and encourage them to extend that love to students. What I appreciate most about my role is the opportunity to build relationships and see our students grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
It's also a chance to instill love in people. These might be uncommon answers for a high school principal, but the way I try to lead is through compassion.
I understand that my responsibility is to see beyond the four years, to hold onto the image of what they can be, and to continue forging a pathway forward. They're going to make a lot of mistakes. So, I just love being able to do that and help teachers on their journey and help children.
