How would you describe people who typically thrive in this industry?

People who thrive in this industry have to be continuous learners. You can't necessarily know everything from square one. You have to be willing to learn and accept that you might not know everything, but be hungry to learn more.

Dedication is very important. Being a rule follower and compliant is also crucial in this industry because it is very strict. There are many regulations, especially on the government side.

Great communicators are also key. I can't stress that enough. There's a difference between general communication and the specific "Boeing talk."

It almost sounds like business jargon, but it really does matter. Being able to connect with people and communicate effectively is essential. So, continuous learning and communication are vital. If you have those two things, I think the sky's the limit for you.
