What skills are most important for a job like yours?

I would say definitely verbal and written communication skills are huge in this government job that I perform. I'm constantly at these public hearings, I'm running the hearings, I'm communicating to large audiences.

I get put on the spot all the time at meetings with farmers asking me questions. I'm also constantly writing up short reports and emailing professionals. So I would say written and verbal communication skills, a hundred percent.

And then maybe just some basic technical skills, like the Microsoft apps. I use Excel a lot. Word, Outlook, Adobe, those kind of basic office app skills.
