What skills are most important for a job like yours?
I would say number one is creating and maintaining relationships. A huge part of my job is being a middleman between different teams internally and clients.
In order to do it well, you have to have a relationship on both sides, both with your coworkers and with the clients. That's definitely the biggest is establishing some rapport, getting to a point where you can deliver bad news if you have to, or make sure that they stay satisfied. It helps to just have a close relationship with these people. I'd say that's number one.
And then just being responsive and communicative, overcommunicating, overexplaining when asking different cross-functional partners internally, and overexplaining to clients. So, I'd say relationships, responsiveness, and strong communication.
