What are your main responsibilities within your current role?
My role is the Vice President of Global Workplace and Infrastructure. This position is responsible for all of Applied Materials' offices, labs, facilities, and factories around the world.
I lead a team of about 200 people who handle everything from finding locations and leasing or buying facilities, to constructing, designing, and running them. These facilities are where our employees work and conduct R&D in cleanroom laboratories.
They are also where we have factories that build our products. This team is responsible for creating and running these facilities, ensuring businesses have what they need to succeed.
We are also focused on creating a great employee experience. We want our employees to love where they work.
This includes providing amenities like cafes and food, clean offices, laboratories for invention and innovation, and efficient factories for cost-effective production.
