I'd say, especially with the partnership side, it's a gray area. Having a plan B and a plan C is important.
When meeting with a new partner, it's good to discuss how you'll actually work together. Something could fall through or happen unexpectedly.
So, having a backup plan and a backup plan to that backup plan is crucial because you don't want to lose a connection or a working relationship.
This kind of happened recently. We were aiming for one thing, but we couldn't provide it. Luckily, Australia might be hosting a large environmental event next year. That opened up doors to work together in another capacity.
