Transcript

What does the day in the life of a program evaluation specialist look like?

A typical day usually includes quite a few different tasks. Some of it is working with data.

Sometimes we have a lot of meetings with programs participating in our studies or with county contacts we have to work with. Most of the time though, it's usually generating reports or discussing ways to improve the projects we're currently working on.

I do have quite a bit of meetings tied to data management or data analysis. A lot of it is just planning and maybe implementing when we have time. But for the most part, no day really looks the same for me.

I'm pretty independent in my work, so I'm able to work on tasks when I want to or if I really have to, depending on my priorities. It's quite nice; it's a very flexible working schedule for me. But ultimately, it's usually spent collaborating with my coworkers or playing in spreadsheets, to be honest.
