What skills are most important for a job like yours?

I would tell anyone considering a job like mine that the best skill you can have is to be inquisitive. Another way to say it is nosy, which is just as good.

You have to know a little bit about everything to be effective in your role. You have to ask the right questions, do a lot of reading, and your research. You have to know your stuff.

You can't be afraid to speak up and ask those questions. There's no such thing as a dumb question. The people that sit back and observe, thinking they wish someone had asked a question, are the ones who really struggle.

In this role, you have to be comfortable in yourself and in your voice to speak up and have your questions heard. This allows you to be better educated and informed, because ultimately, that's how you inform others.
