How would you describe people who typically thrive in this industry?

Creativity is at the core of anyone who wants to go into a creative field. Marketing and advertising definitely call for that.

I wouldn't necessarily count myself as someone who is inherently creative on my own. My creativity comes in when I can collaborate with other people.

It also emerges when I can look at something in its early stages of being built and provide feedback, advise, and help structure it towards being the best it can be. Anyone with an inherent skill for creativity, or who appreciates creative people and being around them, will thrive in a role like this.

It does require you not to be too precious about your ideas, because they can be shot down, evolve, or change in different ways. This is great for someone who cares about doing creative work but doesn't have to be beholden to a final product that is only representative of their work. They get to collaborate a bit more.
