Video Highlights
1. A Senior Consultant's day-to-day tasks are divided between two main functions: delivery and business development (BD).
2. Delivery involves recruiting candidates for open positions by actively contacting them via phone and LinkedIn, conducting searches, and utilizing various technologies.
3. BD focuses on bringing in new jobs, which may involve cold calling, warm calling (reaching out through other means before calling), networking, and utilizing LinkedIn to identify and connect with hiring managers. The balance between these two functions depends on the consultant's workload and personal preferences.

What does a day in the life of a senior consultant look like?
I think it depends. There are times when I'll either be more delivery-focused or more business development-focused. I do both sides, the sales and recruiting side, so I bring in jobs and also fill them.
On a delivery-focused day, I have a lot of jobs that I've brought in and now I need to go recruit on them. Those days involve a lot of calling candidates, reaching out to people on LinkedIn, and doing searches to find candidates. That's what a delivery day would look like.
Business development, or BD, is when I don't have a lot of jobs to work or I need to bring in jobs. That can really vary; I think it depends on the person and their style of business development. I feel like people hear about cold calling a lot.
I do cold call, but I don't love it. I try to do warm calling, where I reach out another way before just calling someone out of the blue. On a business development day, I'd be calling people, sending emails, doing LinkedIn searches for hiring managers, and adding people to our system. I use different technologies to find phone numbers.
Those are probably the two different days that I would have.
